Full Suspension E-Bikes

A full suspension ebike has a suspension fork up front and a shock at the rear, so both wheels move over bumps instead of passing them to your back and wrists. This category has four Himiway models in two styles: the A7 and A7 Pro commuters for rough city streets, and the D7 and D7 Pro, full suspension fat tire ebikes for trails and hunting. The fat tire D5 2.0 models also have rear suspension and are listed under fat tire e-bikes.

How to choose a full suspension e-bike

Commuting or trails. The A7 uses 27.5 x 2.4-inch Kenda tires for pavement. The D7 models use 4.5- to 4.8-inch fat tires for loose ground.

Motor. The A7 Pro has a 500 W mid-drive. The D7 and D7 Pro use 1,000 W motors, above the 750 W line in the federal e-bike definition, so check where you plan to ride.

Battery. The A7 and A7 Pro carry 720 Wh batteries; the D7 and D7 Pro carry 960 Wh.

Weight and payload. Himiway lists the D7 at 88.6 lb with the battery and a 400 lb payload.
