E-Bikes with Throttle

An electric bike with throttle lets you ride on motor power alone: press a thumb lever or turn a twist grip and the bike moves without pedaling. That helps when you start from a stop at a light, climb a steep driveway or want to rest your legs. In most US states a throttle bike whose motor stops helping at 20 mph is a Class 2 e-bike; our ebike classes and laws guide explains the rules, which vary by state.

All 13 bikes here are Himiway models with a thumb throttle (a half-twist throttle on the Escape Pro), according to Himiway’s published specifications. They range from the $607.24 C1 kids e-bike to the $3,039.24 D7 Pro mid-drive mountain bike at the time of writing (October 2026), and cover fat tire, folding, commuter and full-suspension styles. The D5 2.0 and A7 ship at 20 mph and can be set for Class 1, 2 or 3 operation; Himiway quotes up to 40 miles on throttle alone for them, and less than on pedal assist.

Our Italwin and Wayel bikes are European-spec pedal-assist bikes with no throttle. New to e-bikes? Start with our guide for beginners. Flat $130 shipping within the US and 30-day returns.
