Mountain & Hunting E-Bikes

An electric hunting bike gets you to the stand or trailhead without engine noise and hauls gear and game out on fat tires. This category holds three Himiway models that also work as electric mountain bikes on rough trails: the D7 Pro with a 1,000 W Bafang mid-drive and 160 Nm, the D7 with a 1,000 W hub motor and full suspension, and the D5 2.0 Camo, a camo-finished, 750 W full-suspension step-through.

How to choose a hunting e-bike

Check land rules first. Many public lands treat e-bikes as motor vehicles, and BLM’s e-bike definition stops at 750 W (BLM). The 1,000 W D7 models fall outside it.

Torque for climbs. Himiway rates the D7 Pro at 160 Nm, the D7 at 96 Nm and the D5 2.0 Camo at 90 Nm.

Payload and trailers. All three carry a 400 lb payload rating, and Himiway lists 1,000 lb towing for the D5 2.0 Camo.

Tires. 26-inch fat tires from 4.0 to 4.8 inches wide grip on mud, leaves and snow.

Our best electric bikes for hunting guide compares all three, and our full suspension e-bikes add more trail options.
